In San Francisco, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across California on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The Cherries & Burrata salad was amazing and easily the best dish we tried. We ordered the Margherita and Purple Potato pizzas, but unfortunately they didnβt meet our expectations. The Margherita was a bit too garlicky, while the Purple Potato pizza was quite oily. The mocktails were delicious, and both the service and atmosphere were excellent. Weβd come back for the salad and drinks! πβ¨π

The service leaves much to be desired. It took over an hour to get two pizzas at 3 PM, which is the definition of poor management. When the pizzas finally arrived, they were a soggy mess. The oven was apparently running so hot that the pizzas came out burnt on the outside while still containing undercooked dough inside. The vegetables had released so much water that the result was an embarrassing excuse for a pizza. When I pointed this out, the waiter responded with excuses rather than concern. I was told that "this is a new style," that "we make it in an oven," and that I should "talk to the owner." Burnt pizza is not a style, and using an oven is not an accomplishment if the food comes out poorly cooked. I have better things to do than track down the owner to explain basic quality control. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of accountability. Instead of apologizing and trying to make things right, the waiter seemed more interested in acting as the restaurant's lawyer. Between the excessive wait, the poor food quality, and the dismissive response, this was an experience I would not recommend.

I had been wanting to try DAMNFiNE Pizza for quite a while and was excited to finally get a table after not being able to get in on a previous visit. The atmosphere is fantastic. The restaurant is beautifully designed and strikes a great balance between stylish and welcoming. Every detail feels thoughtfully doneβeven the restroom stood out for its design and attention to detail. The food and drinks were equally impressive. The pizza was excellent, the salad was fresh and flavorful, and the drinks were well made. As a bonus, I loved that the pepperoni was the kind that curls up into little cups when bakedβa small detail, but one that pizza lovers can appreciate. The one disappointment was the service. During the first part of our meal, the staff came across as somewhat cold and unfriendly, and it was noticeable enough that others in my party commented on it as well. To their credit, some of the staff seemed to warm up as the meal went on, which improved the experience. Overall, the food and atmosphere were strong enough that I would gladly return when I'm in the area again. With a warmer and more welcoming service experience from the start, this place would be truly exceptional.

4 starts for the ambience and friendly service. It was a second stop for drinks and food. Was able to be seated right away. Interior is beautiful with a view of the wood fire pizza oven. 3 Stars for pizza: Good large portion and flavorful pizzas. But the texture of the dough was chewy and soft. Felt more of a soft bread than a crust. We shared the Allota burrata which had generous amounts of cheese and arugula.

Came here because a friend recommended it and we loved it. The house-made pasta was amazing β we tried two and both were delicious with really unique textures. The flavor was tangy with a bit of spice, super appetizing. The pizza was right up my alley. Chewy crust, great flavor. The one our server recommended was also very good, but our favorite was definitely the mixed mushroom pizza β so good. The meatballs were solid and clearly made with quality ingredients. Highly recommend! Weβll be back for sure. Tip: come early or make a reservation if you donβt want to wait.
